International Relations and Defense

Established on November 15 of 2004, the Agency InfoRel of News Ltd. is specialized in International Relations and Defense, with a content that contemplates news and information of quality.

Its news section is complemented by analyses and the projection of sceneries.

The Agency InfoRel of News Ltd. hasn`t any partisan or political bonds and doesn`t rule its covering on basis of ideological aspects.

It produces texts in the Portuguese, Spanish and English languages and it is turned for a public formed by diplomats, militaries of the Armed Forces, politicians, academics, servants of the State, analysts, executives, journalists and university people, Brazilian and foreigners.

To become a Latin-American reference in the area of news and information on International Relations and Defense.

Vision

The Agency InfoRel of News Ltd. can be added to several sources of information used by the “decision takers”.

We haven`t the claim of occupying the place of other media and channels.

Our content can and must be shared, once it is of one of many points of view about so sensitive and complex subjects.

Our work is, above all, orientated by the ethic conduct with which we discuss the international politics and the several possible sceneries.

Through these channels, the Agency InfoRel of News Ltd. spreads its content:

Agenda: Area destined to the spread of events carried out by institutions and/or public and private entities, like seminars, conferences, lectures, symposiums, courses, and others.

Strategic subjects: Reunite texts of opinion and news about Geopolitics, Intelligence, Integration, Environment and Politics.

Defense: Publication of news related to the Armed Forces of Brazil and of the Latin America. Area destined to the spread of subjects linked to the cooperation and regional integration in the military questions.

Opinion: Signed texts that reveal the position of university professors, academics and specialists, who take responsibility for the same.

Foreign Relations: Publication of joint notices, declarations and official documents (agreements, treaties, memorandums, covenants).

InfoRel en Español: Texts prepared by the Agency InfoRel of News Ltd., official documents and articles of collaborators` opinion, translated to Spanish.

Team

Editor Marcelo Rech  is a journalist with specialization in International Relations, Strategies and Policies of Defense and ‘Terrorism and Counter-insurgency’, in the United States. With 21 years of career, he was an international correspondent, reporter in newspapers, magazines, radio and sites specialized in Politics, Defense and Terrorism. He acted as adviser of communication and analyst in the Chamber of the Deputies and in the Federal Senate (Commission of Foreign Relations and of National Defense, and in the Leadership of the Government). He was a Coordinator of Political Analysis of the Foundation Getúlio Vargas (FGV), in Brasilia, and, between 1991 and 1996, he gave advisory and consultancy in subjects of International Relations to several foreign embassies. He produced two dissertations about ‘Terrorism in the International Relations and the covering of the press and the terrorist attacks’. inforel@inforel.org

Publicity Fá Rech works in publicity. She was adviser in the Embassy of Mexico, where she practiced the function of writer and translator. She directed the Agency Clippings, where she was the person in charge for the contacts with the diplomatic representations in Brasilia. farech@inforel.org
